GSC Game World has released Update 2.1 for *S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl*, which includes new features and bug fixes.
Two Months After the Release of the Major DLC, a New Update Featuring New Features Is Now Available

With this update, players can now adjust the A-Life NPC visibility range in the settings, regardless of their console or PC specifications.A note warns that “setting this value too high may affect performance and stability.” While the official recommendation is to use the default preset, a “Dynamic” option is also available, which automatically adjusts the range based on the processing power of your PC or console.

Additionally, balance adjustments have been made to make long-range firefights feel more natural. Depending on the preset, combat sounds from farther away are now audible, and weapon ballistics have also been adjusted.

As a new fast-travel feature, this update adds the ability to pay the squad leader—who now appears on the compass—to guide you to a nearby destination. Please note that the leader can only guide you to locations along the squad’s route and to destinations that have already been explored.

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl" is now available for PC (Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store), PS5, and XBOX Series X|S.
