No. 5—“FFT: The War of the Lions” Mobile Version Gets a Major Update Now

On October 19, 2026, Square Enix released an update for *Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions*, available on iOS and Android.

*Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions* is a remake of *Final Fantasy Tactics* that was originally released for the PSP in 2007. It was ported to iOS in 2011 and to Android in 2013, and is still available today.

This update adds support for game controllers, introduces a double-speed feature, revamps the battle UI, enables 60fps gameplay, and fixes various bugs.

While *Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles*, a remastered version of the original, is available for current-generation PCs and consoles, *The War of the Lion* offers its own unique appeal. With additional elements such as jobs like the “Onion Knight” and “Dark Knight,” as well as the ability to recruit characters like “Balflear” from *FF12* and “Russo” from *FFTA2*, this version offers a distinct experience compared to *Ivalice Chronicles*, which did not include these features.

4th Place—“Torneko Remaster” Update Adjusts Pacing and Message Text for a More Natural Feel

On October 19, 2026, an update for *Torneko’s Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon—A Slightly Wonderful Remaster* was released for all platforms.

The timing between when music starts playing and when players can take an action during sound effect playback, as well as the pacing of battle message displays, have been adjusted. In addition, fixes were implemented for monster behavior—including how monsters split, issues with chain reactions from explosive rocks, and actions triggered by traps—as well as adjustments to improve the readability of dialogue in Japanese, and a fix for an issue where controller buttons remained stuck.

Furthermore, numerous other bugs have been fixed, including freezes after message displays, an inability to stop while dashing diagonally, issues with saves not being saved properly, and errors in achievements and the bestiary. In particular, the “adjustments to the readability of Japanese text” have resulted in more natural line breaks in messages, making the text generally easier to read.Issues such as being unable to move during the fanfare when leveling up and a slight delay in message log updates during monster battles have also been fixed.

After the Fix

*Torneko’s Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon – A Slightly Wonderful Remaster* is now available for PC (Steam/Google Play PC), PS5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, and Android for 3,520 yen (3,500 yen for iOS and Android).

According to the family’s wishes, the funeral was held privately with only close relatives in attendance.

Tsuchida also brought many characters to life in the gaming industry. In *ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON*,he voiced “G5 Iguazu,” a pilot belonging to the “Red Gun” AC unit of Bayram Industries. He delivered a passionate performance as this deeply human character, who harbored a strong rivalry with the protagonist, leaving a lasting impression on many players.

2nd Place—A Disturbing Sci-Fi Side-Scroller Featuring a Beautiful Girl with a Cyborg Body Implanted with Military Chips [Asian Indie Discoveries!]

“Asian Indie Discoveries!” introduces charming Asian indie games—both new and old—that aren’t yet widely known. In the first half of October 2026, “Asian Indie Discoveries!” features four titles, including the sci-fi side-scroller *RUST MOON*, starring a beautiful young woman with a cybernetic body implanted with a military chip.

*RUST MOON* is a cyberpunk side-scrolling action game developed by moonbell studio.Set in a dystopian world where people’s lives are controlled by AI, this sci-fi action game depicts a battle to recover lost memories. In this world, while people are promised eternal happiness, every aspect of society is dominated by the system—to the point where those who fall behind on payments are sent to facilities known as “Dream Capsules.”

The player takes on the role of “ALPHA-7,” a young girl whose memories have been rewritten by an unknown entity. In search of her past, she enhances herself by swapping out chips in her cybernetic body and uses firearms and swords to eliminate the threats that stand in her way.

The setting features subtle elements that stir the player’s unease—such as a military chip embedded in the protagonist’s body that connects to a personality suppression zone—which, combined with the dystopian world-building, creates a sense of foreboding. The game is scheduled for release in 2026 and will support Japanese. A demo version is currently available on the store page.
