Tech Guys has announced that it will hold an open pre-alpha playtest for the arcade-style mech action game *MECH OPS 2092* starting November 7, 2026 (local time).
A Mecha Action Game That Might Just Be a Bit Deceptive… Playtest to Let Players Experience the Early Build

This title is a third-person arcade-style mech action game that fuses a “military atmosphere” with the “aesthetics of ’80s mecha anime.”Set in a world where nation-states have all but vanished and various factions and corporations battle in the wasteland over resources and power, players take on the role of an independent mercenary who has been betrayed by their employer and lost both money and reputation, striving to rebuild their life from scratch while surviving alongside their beloved mech.

In the game, players can assemble their mechs using various parts and weapons from head to toe, and undertake a variety of missions, including sabotage, defense, intercept operations, and base raids. It’s said that players may sometimes be given inaccurate mission information or even be “deliberately deceived.”

In addition to the “Campaign” mode, where players can enjoy a nonlinear story influenced by their actions, the game also features a “Defense Mode” where players battle against relentless waves of enemies.

The playtest announced this time will feature an early build developed over the past nine months, allowing players to experience two mech presets, approximately two locations, and a training mode. The hangar, story, and sound effects are not yet implemented, and the combat system is reportedly still in its early stages.

*MECH OPS 2092* is scheduled for release on Steam. The playtest is scheduled to take place from November 7 to 8, 2026 (local time).
