Konami Digital Entertainment plans to end the free distribution of the mobile port of the original *Castlevania* for the Family Computer (ROM cartridge) on Saturday, October 24, at 11:59 p.m.
This version of *Castlevania* is easier to play, featuring a save function that was omitted from the original.
This free distribution, currently available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play), commemorates the release of the latest title, *Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse*, and the series’ 40th anniversary. Not only can you play in Easy Mode—which was added to the ROM cartridge version—but the save feature, which was omitted from the Disk System version back then, has also been added, allowing you to enjoy a more accessible yet challenging whip-action experience.
If you download the game once during the promotion period, you’ll be able to keep playing it even after the promotion ends. Whether you’ve never played before or are a veteran, take this opportunity to secure your ticket to explore Dracula’s Castle.
