Shochiku Games has announced that *Hela: The Little Mouse and the Enchanted Forest*, an open-world adventure game developed by Windup and Knights Peak featuring a little mouse as the protagonist, will participate in the Steam Next Fest and release a demo.
A Grand Adventure Featuring Adorably Cute Mice
Set against the backdrop of Sweden’s beautiful natural landscapes, this 3D open-world adventure lets you take on the role of a little mouse and embark on a grand adventure.
Players take on the role of a mouse and embark on a journey to fulfill an important mission: to save a kind-hearted witch who has fallen ill. Using “Lucky the Magic Frog,” players can perform actions such as swinging by hooking their tongue onto branches or gliding by inflating themselves to solve puzzles.
The demo currently available tasks you with collecting “Sparkles” scattered throughout the forest to restore the wizard’s power and make your way to her home. The developers have gone to great lengths to ensure you can enjoy the demo without worrying about spoilers from the full game, even creating a story and map exclusively for this demo.
In addition to online co-op, the game supports local co-op via split-screen. Even in single-player mode, you can use “Clone” to create magical duplicates of yourself to help solve mechanisms and puzzles.
*Hela: The Little Mouse and the Enchanted Forest* is scheduled for release on December 1 for PC (Steam/Epic Games Store), PS5, XBOX Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. In Japan, the game is published by Shochiku Games.
