Cut wood down to the millimeter and handcraft furniture and home decor

In this simulator, you run your own woodworking workshop, handle various woodworking processes yourself to assemble furniture, and sell your finished pieces online.

You’ll review blueprints, take measurements down to the millimeter, and use various tools—such as a lathe—to finish each part one by one.

Although the game’s Steam store page is live, the official release is still some time away, and a playtest version is currently available. Among users participating in the playtest, many seem to be becoming obsessed with woodworking—with some reporting, “I spent an entire hour just sanding.”

On Reddit, a wide range of opinions and requests about the game have already been posted, ranging from hardcore demands like, “Please add dangerous elements such as circular saw kickback (when the blade catches on the wood and is flung backward against the direction of travel),”to practical advice like, “When building a table, attaching the legs to the skirt section reinforces the frame’s strength.”

“Made by Hand,” which looks set to have core gamers flocking to enjoy woodworking, is currently in development. Additionally, you can sign up for the game’s playtest via the Steam store page.
