Regarding *Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6)*, scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, the product pages on the Japanese PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store now display a CERO rating of “Z (For Ages 18 and Up Only).”
From “Pending Rating” to “Z.” Content icons include “Crime” and “Violence.”

The game’s Japanese rating remained “Pending Rating” even after ratings for North America, Europe, and other regions were revealed on October 2.Even in the launch trailer released on October 15, the rating was still listed as “Pending Rating,” and with about one month remaining until release, the classification has finally been revealed. The content icons list “Crime” and “Violence,” which is the same configuration as the previous title, *Grand Theft Auto V*.
Internationally, the game has been rated “M (17 and older)” by the North American ESRB and “18 (18 and older)” by the European PEGI, with reasons cited including blood and gore, intense violence, and strong sexual content. In Australia and New Zealand, the rating notes explicitly state “Sex Scenes,” suggesting that the game will likely contain sexual content.
As of this writing, there has been no official announcement regarding differences in content between the Japanese and international versions.
In the previous title, *GTA 5*, the Japanese version was rated CERO Z; however, sexual scenes were edited, and some depictions of violence were omitted. The international rating for this title indicates both sexual content and depictions of violence, so the focus will likely be on how these scenes are handled—and whether and to what extent changes will be made to the Japanese version.
*Grand Theft Auto VI* is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and XBOX Series X|S.
