Q-Games has announced that it will publish *Beyond the Dark: Night Watch*, an asymmetrical cooperative horror game for two players developed by Atlantis Studio, in the Asian region. The game is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026.
This cooperative horror game features two players with distinct perspectives—an Explorer who infiltrates a eerie mansion and a Watcher who monitors the situation through a camera—who must work together to escape. Along with the announcement, a new trailer was released, and it was revealed that popular voice actor Troy Baker is participating in the project, with Oscar Araujo composing the game’s soundtrack.
The Explorer and the Watcher Coordinate via Communication—A Escape Drama Played with a Single Game
*Beyond the Dark: Night Watch* is an asymmetrical cooperative horror title designed around communication, observation, and trust. One player takes on the role of the Explorer, roaming the mansion in first-person view to search for clues and solve puzzles.The other player takes on the role of the Watcher, using surveillance camera footage, various documents, and tactical tools to assess the situation and guide their partner by issuing instructions.
A mysterious entity known as “Gloom” roams the mansion, and the players must escape before they are discovered. Neither player has access to all the information, so incorrect instructions can put their partner in danger, and loud noises risk attracting Gloom’s attention.
In addition to local play, local wireless play, and online play, the game supports “Share Connect.” With just one copy of the game, two players can play together on either a Nintendo Switch 2 or a Nintendo Switch.
The game is being developed by Atlantis Studio, based in Avignon, France. Q-Games, which is handling publishing in the Asian region, is a Kyoto-based indie game studio known for developing the *PixelJunk* series and *Tomorrow Children: Phoenix Edition*.
