On October 5, 2026, the global version of “AION2” finally launched.

I immediately gave this game a try—it boasts stunning visuals, easy-to-understand and spectacular action, and, above all, character creation that allows for meticulous attention to detail.

When you start playing, you first choose between the Celestials and the Demons. While this choice significantly affects the main story and faction servers, you can safely go with your gut feeling for now—there’s no difference in character performance. I chose the Demons.

The game is set 200 years after the events of its predecessor, *Tower of Aion*. The Tower has been shattered, and the world faces a threat from a third faction known as the Dragon Clan. Meanwhile, the protagonists—the demigod “Divas”—are gradually being brainwashed by the Dragon Clan through a gem called the “Fafnight.”

Amidst this, a female warrior named Nemon arrives at a fortress known as Fafnir Fortress. She’s a strong-willed beauty, clad in a form-fitting jet-black battle dress with a plunging neckline. The fact that a stunningly attractive woman appears within just a few dozen seconds of starting the game… that’s a Korean MMORPG for you!

She seems to be looking for the “High Priestess of Fafnite” here. She mows down enemies left and right and, while she’s at it, rescues a member of a mercenary group buried under the rubble. This is the playable character I’ll be controlling. So, from here on, it’s time for character creation.

True to the game’s reputation, the customization options are broken down into minute detail.

You can create handsome men and beautiful women in a single click using the presets, so even if you’re not into the details, you’ll have plenty of fun just using them as-is.

As for the chest—an area gentlemen in particular are likely to take note of—it’s divided with such precision that it feels like a surgical procedure; I can’t help but be impressed.

In addition to breast size, there are various sliders for breast position, ribcage size, and the volume of the upper chest. Using these, you can create any shape you desire—whether it’s a pigeon chest, a bell-shaped bust, or a slightly sagging one.

As for my personal preference, I tried to set the overall body sheen a bit higher to achieve a dewy, translucent look.

Now, after enjoying character creation to the fullest, it’s time to move on to class selection.

You can choose from eight classes: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spirit Master, Cleric, and Chanter.

I chose the Cleric, a healer class that’s often in short supply in MMORPGs.

As I discovered later, even as a Cleric, there were plenty of attack skills available, so I never found myself with nothing to do.

The protagonist, having escaped from Fafnir Fortress alongside Nemon… becomes separated from her and takes refuge in a certain village.

While performing simple tasks in this uncharacteristically friendly village, the village’s dark underbelly gradually came to light. It seems the villagers had already been completely brainwashed by the Dragon Clan and were searching for Diva…

After barely fending off an attack on the village, the protagonist seizes an airship and flees once again to a different land. Reuniting with Nemon, who leads the village of fugitives, they set out to track down clues regarding the mercenary group that had betrayed the protagonist.

And so, from here on out, the scope of the adventure expands significantly.

First, check out the menu screen. Not all features have been unlocked yet, but it looks like you can at least buy the paid costumes for now.

What caught my eye in particular was a full outfit set called “Snowflake Sheer.” It’s a costume that looks just like lingerie—a lovely silhouette that’s ethereal yet shows off all the right curves. It doesn’t look like armor or anything, but there’s no doubt I want it more than anything!

It’s easy to get carried away talking about character creation and paid outfits, but the core gameplay is also solidly crafted.

Not only is the main story well-crafted, but the side stories are also thoroughly polished. From nearly falling into a trap set by villagers who resent the newcomer Nemon to teaching a creature called Babalun—which looks like a cross between a weasel and a cat—how to battle, there’s plenty of content you won’t want to miss.

By the way, since the game automatically teleports you to your destination for every quest, you can even play while doing other things. That’s a nice touch.

While auto-traveling, your character will automatically ride a pet or fly through the air, giving you a chance to take a brief break. Just sit back and gaze at the world of Atreya, rendered with stunning visuals.

Of course, since this is an MMORPG, there’s also content where you team up with others to hunt powerful named enemies. Since I happened to be passing by, I decided to join in for a bit. Naturally, I was taken down in one hit by the boss… Maybe I’ll put this off for later…

There are also plenty of side activities, such as the “Sealed Dungeon”—a solo-only leveling dungeon—and the game is packed with features designed to keep you engaged.

Also, in this game, you can zoom the camera in and out using the mouse wheel, and if you zoom in all the way, you can admire your carefully crafted character up close.

When you do that, your character looks right at the camera as if they’ve noticed you, smiling or winking. Is the person who came up with this feature a genius…?

So, while I was tackling side stories and admiring my character, the multiplayer content “Expedition” was finally unlocked. This is essentially an instanced dungeon where up to five players team up to take on the same dungeon.

While you can handle the regular enemies by spamming attacks, the boss at the very end is quite a challenge, and your party members’ HP keeps dropping rapidly. This is where the Cleric really shines! By spamming healing skills, I managed to clear the dungeon without losing a single party member. This is the true thrill of a party-based RPG.

I put on the armor I received as a reward for clearing the dungeon and took a commemorative photo. What a lovely outfit this is, too!

Though, I feel like I’ve been staring at faces and breasts the whole time in this game—or is that just my imagination…?

There’s still plenty of content I haven’t fully explored yet—like mini-games and high-difficulty dungeons—so I’m really looking forward to playing more.

One of the great things about MMORPGs is that when you get tired of adventuring, you can just admire the characters or interact with other players. Above all, the world and the characters are just so visually stunning… It looks like this will be a game I’ll be sticking with for a long time.

"AION 2" is currently available on PC (Steam/PURPLE).
