On October 10, 2026, M2 showcased Nintendo Switch ports of Data East’s classic arcade games *Edward Randi* and *The Great Ragtime Show* at the “M2 Shot Triggers 10th Anniversary Thank You Festival ~Let’s Jailbreak Together!!~” held in Ueno, Tokyo, M2 unveiled Nintendo Switch ports of Data East’s classic arcade games *Edward Randi* and *The Great Ragtime Show*.

At the event, in addition to the title logos for both games, a logo reading “THE EDWARD RAGTIME SHOW DATA EAST COLLECTION” was also unveiled. Footage of the games actually running on the Nintendo Switch was shown.

Two Data East classics are making a comeback alongside M2 Gadget!

*Edward Randi* is a side-scrolling action game released by Data East in 1991. Set in a world reminiscent of 1930s adventure films, the protagonist, Edward Randi, dashes through a variety of stages. It’s known for its cinematic, flashy presentation and rapidly changing scenarios.

Meanwhile, *The Great Ragtime Show* is a side-scrolling shooter released in 1992. Players pilot a biplane, using a hook to latch onto and utilize various objects, or switch to vehicles like tanks, enjoying unique gameplay.

In this hands-on demo, you can also see that *The Great Ragtime Show* features the “M2 Gadget”—a tool familiar from the M2 Shot Triggers (M2STG) series that displays in-game information and helpful tips.

On the left and right sides of the game screen, information such as the player’s lives, power-up status, currently piloted vehicle, stage progress, and boss information is displayed. Additionally, the text “VERSION ARCADE” and “MODE ORIGINAL” can be seen in the upper-left corner of the screen.

Although both titles were included in *Egret 2 Mini Arcade Collection Part 1*, released in December 2025, this port offers the advantages of being easily playable on the Switch and featuring the M2 Gadget.

Details regarding the Nintendo Switch port of *THE EDWARD RAGTIME SHOW DATA EAST COLLECTION*—such as the release date, price, and availability on other platforms—remain unknown. During the livestream, CEO Naoki Horii stated, “You’ll be able to play it at home before long.”

Additionally, in September 2020, M2 acquired the sales licenses for five Data East arcade games (*Zabiga* (1984), *B-WING* (1984),*Metal Crash* (1985), *Last Mission* (1986), and *Psychonics Oscar* (1987)) and announced plans to re-release them as part of the “M2 Shot Triggers” series; however, there have been no further updates regarding these titles.
