On October 8, 2026, Gaijin Network announced that it would completely shut down the global servers for the space TPS *Star Conflict*, developed by Star Gem, at 7:00 PM Japan Standard Time on October 9.
Plans to transition to a community version running on local servers after the server shutdown

This title is a PvP/PvE shooter set in space. Since its release in 2013, it has gained popularity for its diverse fleet of spaceships and the battles fought across the cosmos under various rules.

The game’s service termination had been announced back in April of this year. And today, October 9, the global servers will finally shut down. The Steam news page highlights the game’s rich history, noting that 97,717,550 battles have taken place and that the combined playtime of all players totals over 3,380 years.

According to the server shutdown schedule posted on a separate Steam news page, following the shutdown of the game’s global servers, work will begin on releasing a Community Edition on Steam, and the official Wiki and Discord server will continue to operate (though older channels on the Discord server are scheduled to be archived).

According to the Steam news page about the Community Edition, players will set up and run their own local servers, allowing them to play in single-player mode or access remote servers hosted by other players.Additionally, while existing save data cannot be carried over, players will be able to freely customize their progress through server settings—for example, by playing with all ships, equipment, and cosmetic items already unlocked.
"Star Conflict" is currently available on PC (Steam). The transition to the Community Edition is scheduled to take place today, October 9, at 7:00 PM.
