[Japanese Localization Confirmed] Witness People Going Mad from a “Penguin’s” Perspective—Antarctic-Set Cthulhu Experience “Penguin Colony” Launches 2026

It has been announced that Fellow Traveller will publish *Penguin Colony*, the latest title from ORIGAME DIGITAL—the studio behind *Umrangi Generation*—a Lovecraftian narrative experience starring a penguin.

It has also been revealed that the game will support Japanese.

Experience cosmic horror as a penguin

This game is a Lovecraftian narrative walking sim played from a penguin’s perspective, offering a fresh interpretation of stories by H.P. Lovecraft, such as “At the Mountains of Madness.”

Set in the vast, frozen landscape of Antarctica, the game features two opposing human factions. One of these factions seeks to bring about destruction by harnessing the “Ancient Ones,” and as a penguin, the player witnesses humanity’s descent into madness.

You’ll explore the field by using actions such as waddling, sliding, and swimming. Along the way, you’ll encounter penguins with unique abilities—such as the ability to squeeze into tight spaces or swim freely through the icy seas—which will influence how you progress through the game.

The game is being published by Fellow Traveller in Australia. A playable demo is scheduled to be showcased during Summer Game Fest and will be available at the Steam Next Fest in June, as well as through the publisher’s “Story Rich Showcase” event.

*Penguin Colony* is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026. The game is planned to be localized into Japanese at launch.
