Northfield Interactive has announced "Mimic Hunt," a psychological stealth game for PC.
An asymmetrical stealth game where players are divided into “Infiltrators” who blend in with NPCs and “Pursuers” who try to catch them

This solo and multiplayer stealth game pits “Hiders,” who blend into crowds of NPCs to assassinate their targets, against “Trackers,” who must catch them.

The “Hider” mimics the behavior of NPCs going about their daily lives as civilians, blending in while identifying the assassination target. The Hider must then find an opportunity to eliminate the target without being detected.

On the other hand, “Pursuers” must observe the general public, watch for suspicious movements or behavior, and identify and capture the “Lurkers” hiding among the NPCs.

Since NPCs react to player actions—such as violence—it becomes difficult to hide or capture targets once a panic breaks out.

Additionally, according to the description on the store page, the game is designed so that players cannot tell at a glance whether someone is an NPC or an ally, making the element of “observation” crucial from the start.

*Mimic Hunt* is scheduled for release on Steam.
