"Silver Pines," a Metroidvania-style survival horror game in which a private detective searches for a missing person in an atmospheric, eerie town, is set to release on Steam on October 8! A demo version will also be available.

Team17 has announced that “Silver Pines,” a Metroidvania-style survival horror game developed by Wych Elm, will be released for PC (Steam) on October 8, 2026 (local time). A demo for the game is now available.

Inspired by Classic Survival Horror Games

This 2.5D survival horror game features hand-drawn rotoscoped animation and a distinctive neo-noir aesthetic.

Players take on the role of private detective Red Walker, exploring the small American town of “Silver Pines” in search of the missing musician Eddie Velvet.

The map features a wealth of locked doors and hidden passages, and the game employs a Metroidvania-style system where your range of exploration expands as you uncover new clues and items.

Monsters lie in wait wherever Walker goes, and formidable bosses also make an appearance. Managing resources such as ammunition and healing items is crucial, and reloading firearms like the revolver involves QTEs, promising a gameplay experience that builds a sense of urgency.

*Silver Pines* is scheduled for release on October 8 (local time) for PC (Steam). A demo version of the game is also available, so be sure to check it out.
