Other Ocean Interactive has launched an open beta test for "4 Penny Coffins," a competitive mystery game in the "Werewolf" genre.
Falsifying evidence and bribing witnesses: The Ripper’s schemes to throw the investigation off track
This game is a Werewolf-style mystery game for up to 8 players, brought to you by Other Ocean, the studio behind *Project Winter*, also known as “Snow Mountain Werewolf.”
The setting is Whitechapel, London, in 1888, a city gripped by fear of the Jack the Ripper murders. One player takes on the role of the “Ripper,” a demon-possessed serial killer, while the remaining players work to solve the case.

The game progresses through three phases: the Ripper’s murders, the investigation, and the verdict. During the investigation phase, the investigators must gather evidence at crime scenes and interrogate suspects to piece together clues, ultimately identifying the Ripper hiding among their ranks during the verdict phase.
Meanwhile, the Ripper disrupts the investigation by planting false evidence and bribing witnesses. At times, he even transforms into a giant monster and attacks people.
A key feature of the game is the strategic back-and-forth as players try to uncover the killer’s true identity, carefully assessing not only their teammates’ words and actions but also whether the evidence they’ve gathered is trustworthy.

During this open beta, which runs through October 13, you can try both the “Magistrate” mode—designed for solo and co-op play—and the PvP “Ripper” mode for free.
To participate in the open beta, register on player.gg and access the “4 Penny Coffins” page. Please note that the released build is a beta version; bug fixes are being addressed concurrently, and patches may be released during the beta period.
*4 Penny Coffins* is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) and will support Japanese.
