Eschatology Entertainment has released a Steam demo for *Guns of Eschaton*, a Souls-like FPS set in an apocalyptic Western world.
The Story of One Man’s Journey
In this game—which also featured Viktor Antonov (who passed away in 2025), the art director for *Half-Life 2* and *Dishonored*—you play as a man who has lost almost everything, crossing the old American South—now transformed into a frontier teeming with the supernatural—in search of his hometown.
The Demo Itself Is a Journey
The demo is neither a prologue to the full game’s campaign nor a snippet of it; rather, it features a standalone adventure created specifically for the demo, allowing players to experience a condensed version of *Guns of Escaton*’s world, atmosphere, combat, enemies, weapons, and core systems.
