[Limited-Time Free Play] Full “ARC Raiders” Playable Free from Oct. 8, Alongside Biggest Update “Frozen Path”

On October 3, 2026, Embark Studios announced that it will hold a limited-time free-to-play event for the PvPvE escape adventure *ARC Raiders* from 6:00 p.m. on October 8 to 5:00 p.m. on October 12 (Japan Standard Time).During this period, players can play the full game for free on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Held concurrently with “The Frozen Path,” the game’s biggest update since launch

Set on a desolate Earth ruled by mysterious mechanical lifeforms known as “ARC,” this PvPvE escape shooter puts players in the role of “Raiders”—residents of an underground colony—tasked with retrieving resources.

This Free Play event is timed to coincide with the major update “Frozen Path,” set to be released on October 8. In this update—which the developers tout as “the biggest since launch”—a new map, “Pendra Pass,” set in a frozen settlement at the foot of a mountain range, will be added.

For experienced players seeking high-difficulty content, the ARC’s large-scale warship, the “Frigate,” will make its debut. Raiders must board the ship, navigate its corridors to clear a path, and fend off ARC attacks. Additionally, a new outpost called “Outpost,” a revamped skill tree, new weapons, and weapon customization features are scheduled for implementation.
