Q-Games announced that it was responsible for the research and development of “Cloudly,” the rendering technology that brings the skies and clouds to life in *ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE*, which was released on October 2.
“Cloudly” Renders 10,000 Square Kilometers of Sky

“Cloudly” is a proprietary technology designed to realistically and beautifully render the 10,000-square-kilometer sky in “ACE COMBAT 8.” It depicts a variety of cloud formations, as well as light streaming through the clouds, shadows cast by aircraft, multi-layered clouds, and contrails.Including sunlight reflecting off canopies, it creates a truly magnificent sky.
These visual elements do more than just enhance the game’s aesthetics. Clouds, contrails, and light reflections naturally function as in-game cues, serving as clues to assess the surrounding situation and are integrated into the dogfight gameplay.
