On September 11, North Fox Games announced the 3D drawing party game "Super Painter" and launched its Steam store page.
A Cat Turns into a Mysterious Creature!? 3D Drawing That Doesn’t Go as Planned
This is a 3D drawing party game where players stack small 3D blocks called “voxels” (3D dots) in a 3D space to create three-dimensional art based on given themes.
Unlike 2D drawing, 3D requires you to consider depth, dimensionality, and balance while shaping your creation. You might intend to make a “cat,” only to end up with some strange creature you can’t quite identify, or try to create a “car” only to end up with a giant box—3D creation rarely goes exactly as planned.

It’s precisely because you don’t know what you’ll end up with until it’s finished that unexpected and quirky creations are born. This game doesn’t require you to create “good” art; rather, it seems to take the stance that the shapes born from things not going as planned are the real entertainment.

This game features three game modes. “Create and Guess” (2 or more players) is a mode where players look at a completed artwork within a time limit and try to guess what was created. Whether the artwork turned out well or didn’t go as planned, unexpected answers are sure to fly from both sides.
“Drawing Werewolf” (3 or more players) is a Werewolf-style game where a single “fake artist”—the only player who doesn’t know the prompt—is mixed in with the group. Players who know the prompt must create their artwork without revealing their true identities, while the fake artist pretends to know what’s going on by observing everyone’s artwork and behavior. In the end, you’ll enjoy an unpredictable game of deception as you discuss and try to uncover who the Fake Artist is.
“Free Build” (1 player or more) is a mode where you’re free to create whatever you like without being constrained by time or a theme. You can build massive structures or simply create shapes as they come to mind. Unlike the theme-guessing mode, you can immerse yourself in creating your very own unique artwork.

The game also supports character customization, allowing you to change outfits and colors to create a “Master Artist” that suits your taste. Additionally, gameplay commentary, live streaming, and video uploads (including monetization) are encouraged, making it ideal for those who want to share the moment when bizarre 3D creations come to life.

The developer, North Fox Games, is a two-person indie game development team based in Hokkaido. They develop using Unreal Engine 5 and previously created *IROONI*, a game themed around a haunted school and a game of tag.
According to the developers, *Super Painter* is recommended for the following types of people:
People who enjoy games they can play with friends in a lively, fun atmosphere
People looking for a game that will make everyone laugh
People who love drawing games
People who enjoy crafting and making things
People who enjoy Werewolf-style games or games of deception
I want to have fun even if I’m not good at games
I like weird games that make you go, “What on earth is this!?”
"SUPER GAHAKU" is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) in the fall of 2026 (around October–November). The price has not yet been determined.
