"RetroSpace," a retro-style space horror FPS where a simple janitor fights to survive, has been released. Escape from a space station overrun by plant and animal creatures—featuring immersive sim elements.

Kwalee has released "RetroSpace," a space horror FPS developed by The Wild Gentlemen, for PC and consoles.

A mere janitor fights for survival on a station consumed by madness

Set on the space station “Aurora 5,” which has been swallowed by a sentient black hole, this retro-style space horror FPS features immersive simulation elements. Players take on the role of an unnamed janitor and aim to escape the station, where creatures that appear to be fusions of humans, animals, and plants roam.

To deal with enemies, players can avoid combat by hiding in the shadows or setting traps, or they can take up arms and fight their way through head-on. Players must identify each enemy’s unique behavior, special abilities, and weaknesses to survive the dangers.

Additionally, by using special “Mutamods,” you can acquire mutated abilities that aid in combat and stealth. However, in exchange for these powerful abilities, irreversible side effects may occur. While the protagonist can resume play as a clone after death, you must be wary of the severe degradation caused by cloning.

*RetroSpace* is currently available for PC (Steam),PS5, andXBOX Series X|S. It is also scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2.
