Shochiku Games, in collaboration with Knights Peak, will handle the publishing of the open-world adventure game *Hela: of Mice and Magic*, developed by Windup Games, for the Japanese market, and announced that it will be released on December 1, 2026, under the official Japanese title*Hela: The Little Mouse and the Enchanted Forest*, on December 1, 2026.
A grand adventure through Nordic nature seen from the perspective of a tiny mouse
*Hela: The Little Mouse and the Enchanted Forest* is an open-world adventure set in the beautiful, picture-book-like natural landscapes of Scandinavia, where a little mouse takes center stage to explore vast open fields.
Players take on the role of the mouse and set out on a journey through a magnificent world to save a kind-hearted wizard who has fallen ill.
Central to the adventure is the “Magic Frog Backpack” carried on the mouse’s back. Players progress by using the frog’s tongue to latch onto branches for grappling movement, gliding through the air, and solving puzzle mechanics that utilize the laws of physics.
The game features a heartwarming experience where you use materials gathered in the field to brew magical potions and help the various animals you encounter in the forest.
In addition to supporting solo play, this title also supports local two-player split-screen play and online multiplayer for up to four players. A magic support feature is available during solo play, ensuring that everyone from beginners to puzzle-action enthusiasts will be satisfied.

Shochiku Games, responsible for the game’s release in Japan, will oversee its domestic launch through the dedicated gaming division that Shochiku established in June 2024.
*Hela: The Little Mouse and the Enchanted Forest* is scheduled for release on December 1 for PC (Steam/ Epic Games Store),PS5,XBOX Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.The digital version is priced at 3,500 yen, and the physical version at 4,400 yen. Pre-orders for the physical versions for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 are now being accepted at participating retailers.
