Independent game developer Pico Games has launched the Steam store page for *Giant Sea Beast Girl Defense*, a naval artillery defense game featuring giant girls battling giant monsters.
Fight alongside “Orca,” the giant sea beast girl who is humanity’s ally
This defense game has you team up with “Orca,” the giant sea beast and humanity’s only ally, to defend your country from wave after wave of monsters using modern weaponry such as battleships and naval artillery.
Stages are divided into several phases, beginning with the “Sea Phase,” where you fend off hordes of monsters with artillery fire. Orca is equipped with a ship’s cannon mounted on the hairpin on her head, so you adjust her firing angle by moving her head up and down to fire shells. You can also request supporting fire from the mainland.
If you successfully defend against the monsters at sea, you’ll move on to the “Underwater Phase,” where you’ll collect resources and upgrade your ship. You’ll control a submarine to recover materials from the wreckage of defeated monsters and use them to upgrade your ship and its main guns. Since there’s a time limit, you’ll need to collect resources and upgrade efficiently.
The stage culminates in a final showdown with the Giant Monster Girl. In combat against her—who possesses multiple attack methods—it’s crucial to employ techniques utilizing the equipment and shields you’ve upgraded up to this point.
After defeating the Giant Monster Girls, they are taken captive at the base, leading to a phase where you investigate their physical structure and internal systems. The information and materials obtained from them can be used to permanently upgrade military equipment and more.
Story
Several decades ago, giant creatures known as “Kaiju” suddenly invaded from outer space. Overwhelmed by
their sheer numbers, modern weaponry proved no match for them, and humanity began to head toward extinction.
One day, a new species of kaiju capable of communicating with humans was discovered. Upon investigation, it was found to be a mutant orca; as such, it was named “Orca, the Giant Sea Beast Girl” rather than classified as a kaiju. Orca possesses firepower sufficient to repel kaiju and joins humanity in the battle against them.
The new title from Pico Games—known for titles such as *Naraku no Kitchen*—*The Great Sea Beast Girl Defense Battle* is scheduled for release in 2027 for PC (Steam).
