"What if my body shrank inside my room?"
I’m sure some of you have imagined something like that when you were kids.
“Lilli’s World,” currently in development by LilliLandia Games, is a life simulation game packed with the joy of shrinking down and adventuring through the everyday world.
Players take on a tiny form and step into a miniature world where everyday objects appear gigantic. There, they can interact with the residents—known as “Lili”—gather materials, arrange furniture, and create a space tailored to their tastes while enjoying daily life.
The game is currently in development for PC (Steam/Epic Games Store),PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2, and will be free-to-play. As of this writing, the release date has not yet been determined.
Game*Spark got an early hands-on look at the game and spoke with the development team about their dedication to the miniature world, the story of the “Lili” residents, future updates, and their monetization strategy.
Shrink down and explore your own miniature room
The first thing that struck me during the hands-on demo was just how cute the miniature world is. Everyday items we usually take for granted look like massive structures and pieces of furniture in this world. It was fun to combine familiar objects to create a space that suited my taste.
What I found particularly appealing was the ability to walk around the room I’d created by arranging furniture myself, all from the perspective of a tiny character.

It’s not just about arranging furniture and calling it a day—you can actually step inside the space yourself. Although the demo only allowed us to explore pre-built rooms, it feels like you’ll be able to experience the sensation of creating a diorama—while thinking, “If I put a chair here, how will it look when I walk through?” or “Could I turn this nook into a secret hideout?”—and then stepping right inside it. So exciting!

During the demo, I also got to see locations with different atmospheres, such as a field covered in flowers and an area with striking mushrooms. Being able to explore a variety of landscapes is another charm of this game. The shooter-style controls add a fun touch—like using a slingshot to knock water droplets off blades of grass.
The residents living in this world are called “Lili.” Their small, stylized designs are adorable, and each one has its own personality, hobbies, and backstory. After playing the demo, I found myself wanting to interact with them even more.

The game also features activities like music and dance, and online, you can spend time with other players. Whether playing instruments, enjoying mini-games, or simply gathering in the same spot, it seems well-suited for casual interaction without a specific goal in mind.

Next, we’ll ask the development team about the world “Lili’s World” aims to create.
A world that emphasizes a miniature perspective and a sense of daily life
――First of all, I found the game’s miniature-style world to be absolutely adorable. What aspects did you focus on in terms of the art style?
Development Team: When we first decided on the “land of little people” concept, we wanted to convey a sense of relaxation and comfort. That forms the basis of our current art style.
Another aspect we value highly is approachability. Many of the objects in the world are modeled after items found in real-life daily life.

――During the hands-on demo, there were areas with different atmospheres, such as a place covered in flowers and a location with striking mushrooms. How many more worlds like these will be added in the future?
Development Team: What we’re showing in this test is just a fraction of the content. We’ve already planned and developed many areas, and we plan to gradually release them through updates after the service launches.
—There were various activities, such as playing music, dancing, and exploring. What kinds of activities do you plan to add in the future?
Development Team: Music and dance are the core activities available from the start, but we plan to add new types of activities in line with the themes of each update. For example, in a winter update, we might add snow-related activities. We aim to introduce new activities based on the seasons and current themes.
――The game features residents like “Lili” and various animals—does this title also have a main story?
Development Team: At the very beginning of the game, there’s an introductory story where you step out of your room into this small world. However, there isn’t a single, overarching main story that continues throughout the entire game all the way to the ending.
Instead, players will encounter various Lili characters. We’ve created backstories, hobbies, and personalities for nearly every Lili. We also want this world itself to be less of a fantasy completely detached from reality and more like a small secret tucked away in a corner of the real world where you all live.
Free-to-play. In-app purchases prioritize fairness and immersion
――We’ve heard this game is free-to-play, but what kind of in-app purchases will be available?
Development Team: The specific monetization model hasn’t been fully decided yet. However, our “free-to-play” policy remains unchanged. This is because we want to lower the barrier to entry as much as possible.
We don’t want in-game purchases to create a significant gap between players or result in a design where “you can’t play unless you pay.” We want to prioritize fairness in the user experience and immersion in the game world.
We plan to announce specific details via our official social media channels once they are finalized as development progresses.

――There are many “slow-life” style games out there. Among them, what would you say are the unique features of *Lili’s World*?
Development Team: There are two main ones. The first is that everyone becomes small and sees the world from a dwarf’s perspective.
The other is the “sense of everyday life.” Rather than living a completely different life in a fantasy world that’s entirely separate from reality, we value the feeling that there’s another relaxing place right next to your current life.
Since the objects in the game are based on things found in everyday life, I think it creates a familiar world that feels close to our daily lives.
Pre-registrations Exceed 10 Million: A Driving Force Behind Development
――Pre-registrations have already surpassed 10 million. How do you view this response?
Development Team: It came as a surprise to us, and we’re absolutely thrilled. We believe this shows that many players have embraced the concept of this miniature world and the lifestyle that’s so closely tied to everyday life.
Of course, since it’s such a large number, it’s also a source of pressure for the development team, but at the same time, it serves as a driving force to push development forward.
――As you prepare for release, what areas are you currently focusing on in development?
Development Team: First and foremost, the controls. We believe the current control scheme still needs significant refinement. Another priority is the volume of content. This game offers a high degree of freedom, and since each player will discover their own preferred way to play, we need to provide ample choices.
We’ll be adding even more content, such as new worlds, exploration areas, furniture, decorations, and recipes.

Additionally, while development of the PC version is well underway, we are also working on support for other platforms. We’re fine-tuning performance to ensure that as many players as possible can enjoy the same experience.
――What about localization for the global release?
Development Team: We’re proceeding with localization tailored to each region. We’re also preparing collaborations with regional IPs.
――Finally, please share a message for Japanese players.
Development Team: We would be delighted if Japanese players could also find various memories—such as memories from their own childhoods—within this little world.
We place great importance on the Japanese market. As part of our localization for Japan, we plan to include elements—starting with IP collaborations—that will make the game feel familiar and relatable to everyone in Japan.
――Thank you very much.
