On September 16, Pawprint Interactive Entertainment launched the global official service for the multiplayer open-world monster-collecting RPG *Aniimo* on PC and consoles (PS5/Xbox Series X|S). The iOS and Android versions are also scheduled to launch on September 23.
Adventure across the Continent of Idyl in search of rainbow-colored Aniimos
This free-to-play, open-world monster-collecting RPG lets you encounter mysterious creatures called “Aniimo” and journey through a vast world alongside them.
The game is set on the continent of Idil, home to Aniimos of various appearances and abilities. The core gameplay involves capturing Aniimos found in the field to make them your companions, then traveling the world while enjoying raising, collecting, battling, and solving puzzles. Among them, Aniimos in their “Rainbow Form”—which feature a special appearance different from their usual forms—are considered the highlight of the collection element.
Capturing Animos isn’t as simple as just throwing the capture item, the “Anipod.”The success rate varies depending on your distance from the target, your position, and its current status, so you’ll need to use tactics like sneaking up from behind or exploiting openings during battle. Once captured, you can train Animo to become companions on your adventure. Even within the same species, each individual is unique, so you’ll enjoy the thrill of finding your favorite one.
Additionally, by “Twinning” with an Animo, players can explore the field using that Animo’s unique abilities. Whether it’s crossing terrain, solving hidden puzzles, or taking on battles, your approach to exploration changes depending on which Animo you team up with. The game also features multiplayer modes where you can play with other players, as well as content set in a motorhome where you can spend time with your Animons.
