Double Jack has released the Nintendo Switch 2/Switch version of "Maestro," an immersive orchestra conducting game.
Become a "conductor" using two Joy-Con controllers
“Maestro” is an immersive rhythm game where players take on the role of a conductor to lead an orchestra.
The game is set in a luxurious Parisian opera house. Players stand at the conductor’s podium and wave the Joy-Cons—one in each hand—to control the orchestra’s tempo and dynamics. If the rhythm falters, the performance quickly falls apart; however, earning three stars earns a thunderous round of applause from the audience.
The game features a total of 38 tracks, ranging from classical works by Beethoven, Mozart, and Vivaldi to soundtracks from popular franchises such as *Game of Thrones*, *Star Wars*, and *The Lord of the Rings*.Additionally, with Switch 2/Switch-exclusive DLC, you can conduct “Ashes on the Fire” from *Attack on Titan*.
No prior musical knowledge is required, and you can learn the basics through the tutorial. With four difficulty levels, a global leaderboard, and customization items unlocked as you progress, even players confident in their rhythm game skills will be able to put their abilities to the test.
A Complete Redesign of the VR Game of the Year Winner for Joy-Con
This title is the VR version that won the 2024 Meta Horizon Store Game of the Year award. For this Switch 2 and Switch release, the developers have redesigned all gestures for the Joy-Con and reworked the camera system and hand animations to suit monitor-based gameplay.
The Switch 2 version also features enhanced graphics and improved frame rates. It supports both Table Mode and TV Mode, and plans are underway to add support for “Share Play,” which allows friends to cheer on the performance from the opera house’s audience seats.
To coincide with the release, two DLC packs for the Switch 2 and Switch are now available. The “All Aboard!” DLC (1,200 yen) includes five new songs—including two from “Pirates of the Caribbean”—and a set of customization items that give your character a complete makeover.The “Attack on Titan” DLC (400 yen) adds the track “Ashes on the Fire” and the “Titan Sweeper” conductor’s baton.
The Nintendo Switch 2/Switch version of “Maestro” is available for 4,980 yen. A demo version is also available.
