MINTROCKET has released the mobile version of *Dave the Diver*, a hybrid game that combines a marine adventure RPG with a sushi restaurant management simulation.
The mobile version includes all the DLC content that was well-received in the PC version, available from day one.This includes the “In the Jungle” expansion—a jungle exploration chapter released just last June—as well as the “Dredge” content pack, which garnered attention for its collaboration with a popular game. Purchasers of the full version will also receive the “DAVE THE DIVER Digital Extra” bonus.
Numerous new features have been added for mobile
As part of the optimizations unique to the mobile version, controls utilizing device tilt have been introduced. The tea-pouring animation at Bancho Sushi employs tilt controls using the gyro sensor. Just like a real teapot, you can tilt your smartphone to pour tea.
Additionally, three new view distance options have been added to let you adjust the graphic quality. In Sea People’s Village, a fast-travel feature to NPCs has been added, which should make exploration more comfortable.
Free-to-play model with in-app purchases to unlock the full version
The mobile version of *Dave the Diver* is a complete port based on the PC version. On iOS, players can experience the early stages of the game for free, and the full version can be unlocked via in-app purchases to access all content.
The game is known for its unique gameplay loop: during the day, you dive into the deep waters of the Blue Hole to explore over 200 species of marine life, and at night, you run the sushi restaurant “Bancho Sushi.”Since its official release in 2023, the game has sold over 4 million copies and garnered high acclaim worldwide, including winning the “Best Game Design” award at the British Academy Games Awards.
