Sony Interactive Entertainment has released the latest trailer for "Marvel's Wolverine," an action-adventure game for the PS5 co-developed by Insomniac Games and Marvel Games.
Depicting Wolverine’s fight for the survival of mutants
This story-driven title stars Marvel’s popular character, Wolverine. As mutants are abducted one after another by Bolivar Trask—a fanatic who believes humans are the supreme beings—Wolverine fights alongside various allies and collaborators while confronting his past, his emotions, and his greater cause.
The newly released video features Liam McIntyre, who voices Wolverine in the game, introducing its key features. In addition to melee attacks using his adamantium claws and kicks, Wolverine can also perform aerial ambushes and stealth attacks; by mastering various techniques, players can unlock new attacks and abilities.
Furthermore, by selecting and evolving “Adaptations,” he can deflect enemy bullets and absorb attacks. Additionally, Wolverine’s “Rage Level” can rise to three stages based on his actions during combat, and depending on the level, he unleashes formidable offensive power.
The Shinjuku Stage Makes an Appearance
The trailer also features Shinjuku, Japan, as one of the stages where Wolverine battles in this game. By finding hidden items and special stages within these maps, you can obtain various suits and claw skins. It appears that certain upgrades are also unlocked by finding specific suits.
The game will feature “New Game+” at launch, as well as a Photo Mode. Additionally, the accessibility options include not only subtitles and audio settings but also controls for dynamic blood effects and dismemberment animations.
*Marvel's Wolverine* is scheduled for release on PS5 on September 15, 2026. Pre-orders, including the Digital Deluxe Edition, are currently being accepted.
