On September 16, 2026, Sega announced that Bayonetta will join the roster as a free additional character for Season 2 of *Sonic Racing Cross Worlds*.
The Witch of Umbra Joins the Race in a Game Spanning Multiple Worlds
*Sonic Racing Cross Worlds* is, quite literally, a racing game based on *Sonic the Hedgehog*. Furthermore, true to its “Cross Worlds” name, the game has featured collaborations with numerous other franchises. Bayonetta will be the first character released as part of the free update for Season 2.
Riding her collaboration vehicle, the “Butterfly Witch,” the Witch of Umbra will take on Sonic and his friends in a race.
Additionally, as previously announced, Season 2 will feature collaborations with “Godzilla” and “Evangelion” via the paid Season Pass.
From “Godzilla,” not only were tracks featuring Godzilla unveiled, but collaboration vehicles modeled after “Godzilla,” “King Ghidorah,” and “Mothra” were also revealed.
Additionally, from “Evangelion,” the “Third New Tokyo” course—where the Angels attack—has been introduced. Collaboration machines based on various EVA units, as well as “Rei Ayanami” and “Asuka Langley Shikinami,” will be joining the fray.
*Sonic Racing Cross Worlds* is now available for PC (Steam/ Epic Games Store),PS4/PS5,Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
