Wild Dog has announced the multiplayer ramen shop simulation game *Japanese Ramen Simulator* for PC (Steam) and released a teaser trailer. The game is scheduled for release in September.
Experience the Entire Process, from Prep to Cooking to Customer Service
This game is a ramen shop management simulation for up to six players. Players can experience the full range of operations at a ramen shop—from preparing ingredients, cooking the broth and noodles, and adding toppings, to serving customers, taking orders, and cleaning up. Pay close attention to the noodles’ doneness and the broth’s temperature as you serve up bowls of ramen tailored to each order.

The game features a unique system where toppings are arranged using physics simulations, meaning no two bowls of ramen will ever turn out exactly the same. You can recreate your favorite bowl or develop a ramen dish that no one has ever seen before—the sky’s the limit when it comes to creating your menu.
In addition to ramen, the menu features side dishes such as gyoza, rice bowls, and beer. For the gyoza, the degree of browning is key, while for the beer, achieving the right balance of foam is crucial.

As you run your shop, various events will occur—from formidable ramen critics dropping by to thieves targeting the cash register, or even sudden fires breaking out. You’ll need to use items like shuriken and fire extinguishers to resolve these issues. You can also try your luck at the gambling den to strike it rich and earn funds for your shop.

The game offers a high degree of customization, allowing you to freely arrange cooking equipment, furniture, storage, and decorations to create your own layout—from the kitchen to the dining area. It also features a “My Design” function that lets you draw on posters and noren curtains. You can even visit your friends’ shops and leave your autograph there.

This game supports online co-op play for up to six players. You and your teammates can divide up tasks—prep, cooking, serving, customer service, and cleanup—to handle the never-ending stream of orders. If playing solo, you can hire part-time staff to run the restaurant at your own pace.

This is the latest title from Wild Dog, an indie studio founded in October 2024. The studio’s previous game, *Keep Digging*, was a unique title where up to eight players continuously dug a hole aiming to reach 1,000 meters underground, and it has sold 450,000 copies worldwide.
The development team reportedly visited various ramen shops in person to experience the cooking process firsthand and incorporate those details into the game. The game is also characterized by its meticulous attention to realism, including the recording of cooking sounds and the creation of 3D models of chashu pork using photogrammetry.
“Japanese Ramen Simulator” is scheduled for Early Access release on PC (Steam) in September. A closed beta test is planned for August; details can be found on the official Discord server.
