On September 18, indie game developer Actor unveiled the Steam store page for *Out-of-Body Battle*, a multiplayer horror FPS for PC and the latest entry in the “The Lurking Ones” series.

The astral-projected protagonist uncovers the mysteries hidden on the island

The story of *Out-of-Body Battle* begins on “Kannagi Island,” where out-of-body experiences are rapidly increasing, when the protagonist, Baku Aihara, suddenly finds himself in an out-of-body state one day.The story unfolds as the protagonist unravels the island’s hidden mysteries, leading to two different multi-endings.

This title supports cooperative multiplayer for up to four players. A key feature is the ability for each player to combine different attributes—such as fire, ice, lightning, blood, and wind—with unique abilities, allowing them to take on powerful enemies by dividing roles. In addition to the deep gameplay that can be enjoyed in both solo and multiplayer modes, the game also includes “Endless Mode,” where players can compete for high scores against players worldwide. The estimated playtime for the main story is approximately 90–120 minutes.

Incidentally, the developer, Actor, is also the creator of the sexy comedy horror game *Spanking Exorcist*, which became a hot topic for various reasons—including a prolonged Steam review process and a bug causing characters to appear completely naked even after release.

His latest title, *Out-of-Body Battle*, is reportedly heavily influenced by the indie FPS *ULTRAKILL* and reflects the developer’s deep love for the FPS genre. This game is part of the “The Lurkers Series,” a collection of disparate stories that converge into a single narrative, which began with *Mannequin Mansion*, set for release in 2024.While characters from previous titles are set to appear, the game is designed to be fully enjoyable even for players new to the series.

He also reported that he is currently working on another new title, *Big-Breasted Man*. Set in a girls’ bar, this game follows the protagonist, Ochi Chihiro, as she hears rumors about a “big-breasted man.” The game’s main attraction, according to the developer, is the chance to have fun with the female cast members at the girls’ bar.

*Out-of-Body Battle* is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC (Steam).
